The view along the embankment towards Shillingstone is so free from vegetation that it is easily possible to envisage a Standard 4 or a 7F come in to view trundling south. 3rd Aug '03. Pic © Mark Pike |

Most poignantly I have included a shot of the original access steps to the platform and what I believe is an original railway kissing gate (unless anyone knows different??). If you have access to Robin Atthill's "The Picture History Of The Somerset & Dorset Railway" have a look at page No. 24 and it will reveal what I mean by poignant. 3rd Aug '03. Pic © Mark Pike |

I am afraid that the passage of a great many years the poor little structure appears to be in danger of collapse (unless the TNDRT get there in time!?). It is truly amazing that it has actually stood for as long as it has. 3rd Aug '03. Pic © Mark Pike |

Just waiting for a 7F to come through, should be a good shot to be had here. Oh, I’m too late.
