Henstridge
Station (Site). Taken looking north towards Wincanton, the station
occupied the middle ground, and the land now built on.
At least one or two of the roads in the rabbit warren estate have
a suitable name. That makes
it all worthwhile. Doesn’t
it? I even spotted a house
named Essendee….
The
path that was the trackbed stops before the roadbridge in the distance,
and stops just behind this spot (the site of the level crossing below).

Henstridge level crossing gate lying
